Responsible Gaming

This page explains what this site can and cannot do around gambling, and gives practical, general advice on keeping gambling under control. This site is a set of static pages listing operators. It has no account system, no age check and no way to switch on or monitor any control over how someone gambles. Anything of that kind exists only at the destination a reader reaches after following an operator link.

What can this site actually do for a reader who wants to stop or slow down?

Nothing directly. Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion are all things that live inside an account at a gambling operator. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can turn one of those controls on, check whether it is active, or enforce it. A reader who wants any of these controls has to set them up at the destination site, inside the account held there, because that is the only place they exist.

In the same way, nobody's age is checked on this site and no gambling of any kind takes place on it. Any age check happens at the destination, after an operator link is followed. This site also carries no advertising network and no behavioural profiling, so nothing on these pages is targeted at a reader based on past gambling activity or risk signals.

Where are the independent help links on this page?

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au, and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisation's own site. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them.

What should someone decide before they start?

Set an amount before opening any account, and treat that amount as already spent the moment play begins. Deciding in advance, while thinking clearly, removes the need to make a judgment call later, in the middle of a session, when it's harder to think clearly about money.

Never chase a loss by increasing the next bet to try to recover it. A loss that is chased tends to become two losses, because the size of the bet is rising exactly when the situnight is going worse. Keep gambling money separate from money that is borrowed or needed elsewhere, since a loss that has to come out of essential funds causes damage far beyond the loss itself.

Take breaks during a session rather than playing continuously. A short pause away from the screen gives space to notice how much has actually been spent, rather than losing track of it. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment and starts feeling like something that has to be done, that is the point to involve someone else, such as a trusted person or one of the independent organisations, early rather than after the situation has grown.

What do the operator listings say, and what do they not promise?

The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. Each of the ten operator listings also ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice.

Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point on, the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply — not anything published on this page.
